العقيدة الطحاوية
Al-ʿAqīda al-Ṭaḥāwiyya
A short creed written in the third century and accepted far beyond the school that produced it. It states what is held, in order, without arguing for it — which is why it is read first.
The text
Public domain — read it at a library
Al-Maktaba al-Shāmila — the matn, with al-Albānī’s notes alongside it
Al-Ṭaḥāwī died in 321 AH. The creed itself is public domain; the modern annotation printed with it is not, and is not ours to reproduce.
In English — ours
Not yet. We translate rather than reprint, so the English for this book begins the day its first lesson is taught.
We link rather than mirror. The classical texts are out of copyright, but the modern printed editions of them are not, so we point you at a library that already carries one instead of putting somebody else’s edition on our server. What we do host is our own work.
