A very brief commentary on the Ājurrūmiyya
دار المشاريع — Dār al-Mashārīʿ
Recitation, the rules of tajwīd, and reading the text with the classical commentaries rather than around them.
Which text comes when. Start at the top unless you already read Arabic — each book says how much of it exists here.
Sulaymān al-Jamzūrī
Sixty-one lines of verse covering the rules of tajwīd — the nūn sākina, the madd, and the rest. Memorised by beginners because it is short and because it is complete.
PlannedIbn al-Jazarī
The second tajwīd poem, taken after Tuḥfat al-Aṭfāl. It covers the points of articulation and the qualities of the letters — the part of recitation you cannot learn from a page alone.
Plannedal-Maḥallī and al-Suyūṭī
A commentary on the whole Qur’an roughly the length of the Qur’an itself — a word of explanation where a word is needed and nothing more. The first tafsīr a student reads cover to cover.
PlannedMuḥammad ʿAlī al-Ṣābūnī
The sciences that surround the text rather than the text itself — revelation, the seven readings, the abrogating and abrogated, the clear and the ambiguous.
